Vertica Driver - Database Ports Above 32767 Not Supported

The Vertica Driver does not appear to support valid ports number above 32767. For example, when 32768 is entered the port gets reset to the default 5433 and fails to connect. An error occurred while establishing the connection: Long Message: [Vertica][VJDBC](100176) Failed to connect to host 192.168.99.100 on port 5433. Reason: Connection refused All valid port numbers should be supported not just those below 32768.

Did you connect vertica jdbc driver into squirel?
