hi,
I'm new to dbvisualiser. I wanted to know if it supports importing a model into a database. for example i want to reverse engineer a SQLServer DB to a model and then forward engineer it to a MySQL DB.
Is it possible? if yes, how?
Thanks in advance
Chagh
Chagh,
This is unfortunately not support currently. It is in the plans to
offer database export and imports but it has not been scheduled yet.

Re: Forward Engineering
Has reverse/forward engineering been a feature that has been added?

Re: Forward Engineering
Rodney,
Export and import of schema objects are available for the supported databases in DbVisualizer Pro:
http://www.dbvis.com/doc/database-drivers/
http://www.dbvis.com/features/tour/export-schema-database/
What database object types are supported is defined per database type. The format for the export is the same as supported for the actual database. It is not possible to export schema objects from for example Oracle and then re-create the same schema objects in a MySQL database without manually modifying the script.
