Help Connecting to a MS SQL server : DbVis Software

Hi:

I just installed the latest version and tried connecting to a SQL server 2014 instance using Microsoft's JDBC driver.

Attached document has screen shots of error messages I get.

Any help in resolving this issue will be appreciated.

Hi Venkat,

SQL Server Management Studio may connect using some protocol other than TCP/IP, so please make sure that TCP/IP is enabled for the database and that it listens on port 1433.

Yes, I had to configure the Windows Firewall to enable Port 1433.
