Export Table Structures by Column Order

I often have to compare different databases that are essentially the same but the columns within various tables may be in a different order. I typically generate the DDL for each then compare the resulting DDL scripts with a file comparison utility. It would be most beneficial if I could instruct the tool to generate the DDL with the columns in each table ordered alphabetically by name to minimize the differences between the database scripts I am comparint.

Hi, Are you looking to have the columns in the DDL tab only sorted or are there other places in DbVisualizer as well? You mention comparing as being the driver for this request, would the Tools->Compare feature in DbVisualizer be useful to compare the content of two text editors help? Regards Roger
