Diagrams: Why can't we have DIRECT links to columns?

Hi there!

(see pic),

it would be great to see the exact column being linked to immediately from the diagram.
Why is this option not available?

I believe this will make it a lot clearer. Albeit a bit more messy because needing to join to the exact column. 

But for small tables, it really speeds up comprehension.

Please consider it.

This can already be done, but only if you use the Hierarchic layout and if Links to Columns is selected.
