I'm running a query against a DB2 table that has several fields with the format of "CHAR () FOR BIT DATA". In the results set the values for those colums are coming back in the form of "f1f1f4f0f9f140404040404040404040404040404040404040". I'm able to filter on the column with the real value, 114091, but I can't get the real value to display. I've gone into the Tool Properties window and on the Binary/BLOB and CLOB Data window selected By Value for both Binary/BLOB and CLOB data. How do I get the data to display correctly?

Re: DB2 - CHAR () FOR BIT DATA
Hi,
We will add a Convert FOR BIT DATA to Text in the next version that will solve this by letting the user decide how these data types should be presented. This will also be part of the next early access release (5.1.1.4).
Check this page for 5.1.1.4 during the next 12 hours:
