There is a problem with DDL generation on Informix when using checks and longer column names. For example, if the following table is created:
CREATE TABLE test (
abcdefghijklmno CHAR(1),
CHECK (abcdefghijklmno IN ('Y' ,'N' ))
);
Then the DDL generated by DbVisualizer looks like:
CREATE
TABLE test
(
abcdefghijklmno CHAR(1),
CHECK (abcdefghijklmno IN ('Y' ,'N' )),
CHECK ( )
)
Which is obviously wrong. As you add more characters to the column name, all sorts of interesting things get generated in the DDL. :) In this example, the issue does not appear for column names shorter than 15 characters (i.e. abcdefghijklmn works fine).
Environment:
Informix 11.50.uc5
IBM Informix JDBC Driver 3.50.JC2
DbVisualizer 7.0.4
Windows XP
