@export does not write last newline character : DbVis Software

Hi,

it seems to me that the last line of an export with @export does not write the line terminator (\n). Subsequently, BCP (Sybase) import fails, and does not import the last line.

Although there are literally hundreds of options to @export, is there none to write an essential newline at the end of the export file?

Hi,

I assume you see this with the CSV export format, where I can reproduce it. We will look for a solution. I have a nagging feeling that this is intentional because having a linefeed as the last character causes problems somewhere else, but we may make it optional of course.
