To reproduce:
1. Open new tab in sql editor
2. Type a long statement in one line (wider than editor window)
3. Move to beginning of of line (Home key)
The horizontal scroll bars disappears.

To be frank, I'm not sure why you decided to re-invent the wheel and have a custom developed editor component. I mean it's not horrible, but it acts quirky and doesn't always behave as you would expect. I will continue to report bugs when I can reproduce them.

Note that we haven't built a custom editor component, just introduced a new one starting in 8.0. Unfortunately there has been some problems with it that has been taken care of in later versions.
We appreciate your patience and look forward for more feedback to make it even better (and other parts of DbVisualizer).
