Define my own short cuts?

[This topic is migrated from our old forums. The original author name has been removed]

Hi, is it possible to define my own short cuts? I would like to for instance press ALT+SHIFT S and get "select * from" in the SQL commander. Or even better: define aliases? For instance define an alias for a table so that I can get "select * from table_name" regards - Micke

Re: Define my own short cuts?
In TOAD, this is done by using code templates. You add your own "shortcut" and what code you want to appear, which is then available via auto completion. Is there something similar in DbVis? So in Toad I add a code template "ca" and when CTRL-space:ing, the code "select * from CUSTOMER_ACCESS ca" appears. regards - Micke

Hi Mickael, It is currently not possible to define templates the way you describe. However, we do have an open ticket for it an I will register your vote. Thanks again for the suggestion! Regards Roger
