Kosi,
What OS, Java and DbVisualizer version are you using?
Does the text appear when you perform certain actions in DbVisualizer or is it just random?
It is the first time we get a report like this so your feedback is valuable.

I am experiencing the same/similar issue - each time I start the DbVisualizer, I am getting this error:
Jun 28, 2013 5:50:20 PM java.util.prefs.WindowsPreferences
WARNING: Could not open/create prefs root node Software\JavaSoft\Prefs at root 0x80000002. Windows RegCreateKeyEx(...) returned error code 5.
After this message the DbVisualizer works without any issues, it is just annoying to see this error message every time I start the program.

We will introduce a fix in the next maintenance version that hopefully will fix this.

The just released 91.2030 BETA version include a fix for this issue.
It would be great if you can give it a try and let us know the result. Note that this is a beta version of the upcoming 9.1 version. Use for testing only.
