Font Spacing on Retina Display

Font spacing is the query area is wonky on retina displays. I'm using JDK 1.7.0_45 on Mac OS 10.9.2. The font in question is Consolas. Here's what a simple query captured from both with the window on the retina display (Macbook Pro 15") and on an external monitor on the same machine. Notice the apparent extra space between the quote and close paren. There is actually no space there.
