Hi I would like to share the results of my work on extending DB2 z/OS profile. This update requires DBVisualizer Pro at 9.1.11 level or higher at least and has several new actions implemented , you may test it and give your feedbacks to improve the quality. The list of new actions and changes has been documented at the begining of file. If you like to test it ,please note that it has not been tested completely so please select the SQL Preview check box and preview the generated SQL for correctness before executing . For installing, it is sufficient to copy the attached file to "/resources/profiles" and then start the DBVisualizer and set the copied file as default profile for your z/OS connection as follows : 1 - Double click on z/OS connection in Databases pane. 2 - Select Properties tab in Database Connection pane . 3 - Select Connection properties --> Database Profile ---> Manually Choose 4 - Choose db2-zos-extended 5 - Apply TIA

Hi Ali, Sorry for the delay. Nice work! Are we allowed to provide all or parts of the work you've done in the official database profile for DB z/OS? Regards Roger

Re: DB2 z/OS Extended-Profile shared for testing
Ali, We just launched the BETA testing of the upcoming 9.5 version. The DB2 z/OS support has been improved in this BETA version and it would be great if you can give it a test and verify. http://www.dbvis.com/download/beta/ For more information about the news in the BETA version: http://www.dbvis.com/doc/relnotes/index.jsp?showheader=false&showtoc=false&version=9.5-BETA We plan to go public with 9.5 in a few weeks. Regards Roger

Hi Ali,

I just wanted to let you know that we have released DbVisualizer 9.5 today with support for the feature you asked for. Please upgrade to the latest official version. Easiest is that you open Help->Check for Update in DbVisualizer to perform the upgrade.

An alternative is that you download from our web site:
