General database question about Commits and Rollbacks

All my database work is done in a query environment to which I have read-only access. It is solely for reporting and I couldn't write changes if I wanted to. Why does dbvis always ask if I want to commit or rollback my changes? I randomly choose an option and then hit "stop" while it is running the rollback or commit. Should this even be happening?

Hi Scott, It sounds like you may have unchecked the Auto Commit checkbox for the connection. Double-click the connection node and make sure that Auto Commit is checked in the Connection tab. Best Regards, Hans
