Show column sub attributes in table object tree

[This topic is migrated from our old forums. The original author name has been removed]

Hi, I've always found it a bit tedious that I cannot see the column type sub attributes in the object tree. For example the tree might show: TableA column1 (char) column2 (varchar) column3 (numeric) It would be nice to see the column type sub attributes displayed here. You have to go to the column or table definition to seen them. So it would be nice to see the tree show: TableA column1 (char(5)) column2 (varchar(50)) column3 (numeric(9.2)) Thank you, Gary

Re: Show column sub attributes in table object tree
This would be a great improvement but I would suggest that instead of rendering it with nested parentheses, the column type is rendered in the same lighter grey text used to indicate the number of objects visible once a tree filter is applied. With this easily visible colour difference it should be possible to remove the outer set of brackets and just show the column name and type. e.g. my_column +varchar(30)+ (where italics mean lighter grey text - the forum doesn't seem to let me specify colours).

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you know that we have released DbVisualizer 9.5 today with support for the feature you asked for. Please upgrade to the latest official version. Easiest is that you open Help->Check for Update in DbVisualizer to perform the upgrade.

An alternative is that you download from our web site:
