All databases on server shown on PostgreSQL connection - version 95.2524

[This topic is migrated from our old forums. The original author name has been removed]

I noticed some unexpected behavior in version 95.2524. All PostgreSQL databases on a server are shown by default even when the connection has been set up for one specific DB. I have separate connections for two different databases on one server, and now both connections are displaying each other's DBs. Build details below: Product: DbVisualizer Pro 95.2524 [Build #2524] [BETA VERSION] OS: Windows 8.1 OS Version: 6.3 OS Arch: amd64 Java Version: 1.8.0_91 Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM Java Vendor: Oracle Corporation Java Home: c:\program files\java\jre1.8.0_91 DbVis Home: C:\Program Files\DbVisualizer SessionId: 291 BindDir: \[3]

Hi Eric, I believe Roger already answered this question, but this is by design. If you only want to see the default database, select Show Only Default Database/Schema in the filter menu. Best Regards, Hans

This is actually a great feature! One connection per server can be useful, especially on dev / test servers.

HI All,

Is this possible in free version, Because when i try to  connect to my postgres server it either display default database or specified database alone in the connection. How can i see all my databases available on that server under single connection

Pranav,

To see all databases for PostgreSQL, DbVisualizer Pro is required. Your option is to create as many separate database connections for PostgreSQL as databases you need to access.

Roger
