Hi Roger,
I modified the Active SQL view a little so it uses dbms_xplan.display_cursor to show the sql and the plan.
added
modified a little
This is the active SQL being executed for this session.

Hi Ronald,
Just checked the updates you added for presenting DBA Views->Sessions->Active SQL. I cannot see any major difference compared to the previous display. What is the main advantage using dbms_xplan in this case?

Re: 700.1475 - "User" view modified using dbms_xplan.display_cursor
Roger,
it shows where the plan came from. It could be a fresh parsed plan, a stored outline, a sql profile or a sql baseline. It is getting more and more important to know where it came from. In 11g, simply adding an index does not automatically mean that it is going to be used, even when it would have been a brilliant choice.
Being able to see what caused the session to pick a plan can help preventing poor old dba's from going mad....
best regards,

Ronald,
This is now fixed with a new "Plan Data" tab in 7.0.5.
