SQL Error Line Number

[This topic is migrated from our old forums. The original author name has been removed]

Sorry if this has been previously answered. When I have a large SQL statement and it returns an error when I run it, is there a way to identify what line number generated the error? For example, if I forget to close a parenthesis, can DBV tell the approximate line number of the error? This is a nice feature in the Enterprise Manager for MSSQL Server. Same problem whether with Oracle, Sybase or MSSQL Server. ------------------------------------------------------- Product: DbVisualizer Personal 6.0.13 Build: #1315 (2008/08/20 18:17) Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Java Version: 1.5.0_11 Java Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Re: SQL Error Line Number
Opus, It is currently not possible to obtain the error position via the JDBC driver for SQL Server. Best Regards Roger
