Hi Ben,

Sorry, I should have included the link to the page with instructions for how to specify a specific VM in my first reply:

Hi - how do I do that, exactly? Thanks! I already have a JDK downloaded I just need to know how to tell DBVisualizer to use it

Hi Ben,

Please try with the Oracle Java VM, available at http://java.com. We occasionally get reports about issues with the OpenJDK VM and switching to the Oracle Java VM usually solves them.

Hans
