Hi Bo,
Currently, DbVisualizer can only render the references in an existing schema. There is no way to make design changes and apply them to the database. We have an open feature request for exactly this, though, so I have added your vote and registered your interest. If/when we implement this, you will be notified.

I was drawn to DbVis assuming it has the ability to generate ERD from database and I could make database design changes and update the database, much like what Microsoft SSMS was able to do. But I cannot seem to figure out how to do that. Maybe such capability is not supported yet?
