Charles,
DbVisualizer doesn't use any environment variable, only Java properties.
What would be achieved highlighting what properties are used?

Could you highlight individual environment variables, and/or provide a "filter" checkbox? It would be great to see only those variables in use by any of the currently open SQL Commander windows.
It would also be nice to see only the variables used by DBVisualizer itself (like PATH and CLASSPATH, etc.). Perhaps you could highlight those separately. I realize that that list of variables doesn't change often (it would be a static list, compiled manually), but still it would be nice to know which variables DBVis looks at when it runs.
