DbVis to display special characters

I would appreciate if DbVis displayed control characters and maybe other special characters out-of the box like Notepad++ does (see picture). I have not found a font that would accomplish this.

I also would like to have a panel by which on can insert such characters.

Absolutely agree.  I use non printable RS FS US GS for code (makes csv escape a non issue), and if I accidentally shoved that into a DB I would really like to be able to see it.
