DB2 LUW: Comment on view problems

Hej

I have encountered several problems with comment on views.

• The generation of the DDL is faulty with respect to the comment on the view itself.
  

  
  
  The correct syntax is 
  

  comment on table

   see comment statement
  
  

• Even though the DDL generates a statement for the view comment, the view comment does not get displayed in the remarks field of the info tab

  
  
  12.1.5 does NOT show this behaviour

Please ignore the latter problem. It is none, just I did not reload the object tree and reopen the object again. Maybe one might to think about a less tedious way to refresh the information in in the info tab.

The refresh button of the info tab does not work.
