Hej Johan
I see. Looks a bit tedious to specify a unique identifying part in the file name explicitly, but should work most of the cases. Thanks for discussing with your developers.
In any case, my idea was that if I had following option
it resulted in files like
instead of e.g. dbvis-453443207421952173.txt.

Hej Thiemo,
I discussed this with my coworkers and it is currently possible to set file names for CLOB columns.
If you choose to export them as files, you can specify file names using patterns: https://confluence.dbvis.com/display/UG140/Exporting+a+Table#ExportingaTable-ExportingBinary/BLOBandCLOBData
For example, something like /tmp/${dbvis-seq-no}$.json might work for you?
Is this what you are looking for? Otherwise it would be great if you could give me some more details on your exact use case.

Johan

Hej Thiemo,
This seems like it may be a useful feature. I have registered a feature request for it.

Hej
I now and then export data to file. I get txt files which is not bad. But I would appreciate, if I could specify the file extension such that I get files like dbvis-12345.json and dbvis-09876.xml.
