Hi,
1641:
Hitting Ctrl-Left does put the cursor at the end of words instead at the beginning.
From my point of view, this is an unwanted change in behaviour from 7.1.5
Example:
select * from table
Starting from the right or from the left, the cursor should only stop at s, *, f and t.

Freewater
Hi,
Are you using the latest EA, 720.1641? The problem you describe should be fixed in that version.
Best Regards,
Hans

Re: Ctrl-Left puts cursor at the end of words
Hi Hans,
you are right, it should have been fixed, but there was a misunderstanding:
1640 stopped at every space
1641 was ordered to skip spaces, and that's what it does. Now, Ctrl-Right works as intended, but Ctrl-Left jumps to the last character of a word.
But of course, what is actually wished for, is the 7.1.5 and other editors behaviour:
Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right should jump to the leftmost character of each word, and regard "space" as a separator of words.

Freewater

Re: Ctrl-Left puts cursor at the end of words
Hi,
Thanks for your continued testing.
Sorry, I misunderstood. The current behavior is what the editor component provides by default, but the vendor has agreed that the behavior you describe is more common and they will change it. This means it will be fixed as soon as they release a new version, which should be pretty soon.
Best Regards,
Hans
